• The Arkansas Educational Freedom Account (EFA) Program empowers families with greater flexibility and choice in their children's education. 

  Designed to expand access to high-quality learning opportunities, the EFA program provides eligible students with state-funded accounts to cover approved educational expenses, including private school tuition, curriculum, tutoring, and other essential services. 

  Whether families seek a faith-based education, specialized instruction, home school, or alternative learning environments, the EFA program ensures that parents have the resources to select the best educational path for their child. 

  The EFA funding amounts for 2025-26 school year will be:

• $6,864 per student ($1,716 quarterly)

• $7,627 for recipients of the Succeed Scholarship ($1,906.75 quarterly)

Note that students receiving EFA funds are required to take a national, norm-referenced test each year. You can find a list of ADE-approved test options here.

Arkansas ESA funds can be used for:

• Tuition & Fees

• Tutoring Services

• Instructional Providers

• School Uniforms

• Classes or Services from a Public or Charter School

• Testing Costs (Placement, Diagnostic, Assessments & Admissions)

• Services from a Public School District

• Music Lessons, Gymnastics, Dance, etc.

• Textbooks, Curricula, and Supplemental Educational Materials

• College or Career and Technical Education Courses

• Licensed Therapies for Students with Disabilities

• Transportation

• Computer Equipment and Supplies

To be eligible for a Arkansas ESA

• Must be an Arkansas resident.

• Must be eligible to attend a public school in Arkansas

• NOT enrolled in a public district or charter school

The application must be submitted by August 1, 2025.

Students must be residents of Arkansas and NOT enrolled in public school.
